Nengcoin is a clone of Bitcoin using scrypt as a proof-of-work algorithm with enhanced features to protect against 51% attack and decentralize on mining to allow diversified mining rigs across CPUs, GPUs, ASICs and Android phones.

Mining Algorithm: Scrypt with RandomSpike. RandomSpike is 3rd generation of Dynamic Difficulty (DynDiff) algorithm on top of scrypt.

Nengcoin has a supply of 84 billion maximum NENG. This limited though healthy supply ensures that NENG is suitable for retail transactions and daily use, but is also great for being used as a store of value.

The inflation schedule of Nengcoin is actually identical to that of Litecoin. Bitcoin and Litecoin are already proven to be great long term store of value. The Litecoin-like NENG inflation schedule will make Nengcoin ideal for long term investment as the supply is limited and capped at a fixed number.

Newngcoin core wallet continues to maintain version tag of “Satoshi v0.8.7.5” because Nengcoin is very much an exact clone of bitcoin plus some mining feature changes with DynDiff algorithm. Nengcoin is very suitable as lite version of bitcoin on desktop mining, full node running and bitcoin programming using bitcoin-json APIs.

The Nengcoin (NENG) mining algorithm original upgrade ideas were mainly designed for decentralization of mining rigs on scrypt, which is same algo as litecoin/dogecoin. Although NENG is most oftentimes profitable with ASIC rigs, NENG is also very suitable for bitcoin/litecoin/dogecoin enthusiasts who may not want to run noisy ASIC/GPU mining equipment but still want to mine NENG at home with quiet simple CPU/GPU or with a cheap ASIC like FutureBit Moonlander 2 USB or Apollo pod on solo mining setup to obtain very decent profitable results.

Decentralization and Community Driven
Nengcoin is a decentralized coin just like bitcoin. There is no boss on Nengcoin. Nobody nor the developer owns NENG.  

We expect NENG community eventually will take over the coin with independently elected board members.  Therefore, we as development team do not intend to make decision on this coin solely by ourselves.  It is our expectation that Nengcoin community will make majority of decisions on direction of this coin from now on.  We as dev merely view our-self as technical support and software developer of this coin while providing NENG a free listing at ShorelineCrypto Exchange at launch.
